Bluntly: there are a lot of proven commodities I'd prefer to the former Rutgers WR coach.

Bluntly: I'll take CPF over CEO.

OK, I don't want this guy as head coach. Sounds like he plans to run for public office rather than coach football. Rah rah won't get it done in the SEC. May be the next great coach or the next flash in the pan. I don't think LSU can afford the risk at this point.

I'm not saying Fleck is the next great college head coach but was Saban a shmuck when he was coaching at Kent St, Navy & Toledo? Or how about Urban Meyer at Illinois St & Bowling Green?

Both had to prove it. For every Saban and Meyer, there are many more busts

Urban went to Utah first and won a BCS bowl in year 2, and Saban was an NFL DC under Belichick who had success as a HC in the Big 10.

how on earth does fleck have a similar resume to them?

Oh you mean like LSU gave Nick Saban a chance? Saban hadn't done squat at Michigan St. Saban was hired because the potential was saw in him not because he had some outstanding resume of previous accomplishments.

NO! He sounds like a combo of Edwin Edwards and Jimmy Swaggert.

That doesn’t change the fact of where they coached at previously. According to the other dumbass, they were schmucks back then too.

And success at Michigan St.? Saban had one good 9-2 there. His other seasons were very average.

Just like that was 100%. One 9-2 season doesn't equal success in the Big 10.
