Zierlein can come back to LSU if he wants.
And he can bring Bruce Arians with him.
Why would they can a staff like that? Offense wasn't their problem... injuries/defense was.

One of the better coaches in the NFL.

Didn't Arians coach for the Saints under Ditka?

Some stats from the Pittsburgh paper:
"In Arians' three seasons, they have yet to finish in the top third of the league (points scored)"
"21st in red-zone offense — below the likes of Tampa Bay"
"Roethlisberger has been sacked 156 times, including playoffs."
Yea, TE Coach

Yeah, I know Pitt. fans hate him.
I actually like him a lot.
I just don't see why you'd sack an OC that was obviously good enough for you to win the SB. But I guess if you think you can do better.

I'm in the minority and I like him. I think he uses the receiving core to the best of their ability, but that line is atrocious. Which is expected since they have have done a shitty job in bringing in new guys.
However, the special teams is god awful, maybe its just the players on ST though

I like him too. Pitt is my 2nd team.
Their line is terrible mostly from lack of talent. Losing Faneca hurt.
If they can get some big guns in there they'll be right back in the hunt next year.

They were the third ranked offense in the AFC. quote:

They should have been fired mid-season.

+1 This has been going on for a while and instead of getting more talented OL prospects they have been drafting WR/TE/RB. Now they have a lot of skill guys, but are lacking in the trenches. They need to find some FA help for their line IMO. This year isn't a bad year for FA OL

We should have jumped on that starting yesterday.

he's trying to get too gimmicky with way too much spread/shotgun/passing
he's been a pretty big fail in the NFL

Fanecas gone. Anyone on that line a top 10 player at his position? Hartwig may be the best, an he was a pickup.
Faneca has done well with the Jets, he is one of the top three OG in the NFL. Look at what the Jets have done with Free Agents on the OL. They do a good job of helping Sanchez.
I don't know how much longer Ryan Clark will play, the guy has had it rough. Congrats to him. He has done well. I keep pulling for him.

Clark is tough as nails. Really fits the Steeler mantra.
I agree on their line. Hartwig or maybe Starks are the best they got. No real elite guys otherwise.

maybe so, but they were 3rd in the AFC in offense, Big Ben had a great year and Mendenhall emerged.
Their inability to stop people is really why they aren't in the playoffs - namely the Chiefs and Raiders. They win those two easy ones and they are in.
