Was pretty poor in Detroit as OC with some good weapons

Would confirm that Ensminger wouldn’t call plays so that’s good

The last time he called plays he had two pro bowl WRs & a pro bowl QB, and got fired after two seasons

2014: 22 ranked Off
2015: 18th ranked Off

I’m not saying yes or no. Just providing information

Sean Payton sees him as a viable asset on his offensive staff. That’s really all that matters.

Oh ok, Lester, let's check out all of the former OC's of top 5 NFL offenses lined up to take a PGC title in college?

Who would you like to bring in here Lester. Give us some names.

What exactly does Lombardi do for the saints? I thought it was quality control???

16 months ago Joe Brady was making Starbucks runs for Joe Lombardi.

Sean Payton’s offensive coaching tree consists of Doug marrone & Lombardi, both who have been disappointing out on their own

People think joe Brady ran the saints offense at LSU. But the truth is it was the college-game-nuances that really made it successful. ie- nothing that the saints currently do

Again, not saying yes or no. Just gather all information here

Joe Brady ran the passing concepts of the Saints offense, which was a huge part of it. So what you're saying is not entirely accurate. I agree with the college game nuances part.

Former NFL players who are well-paid football analysts are on record saying it was the Saints’ offense, albeit scaled down some.

Sure the routes and such. I’m more talking about:

the QB action. RPO, QB draws, zone reads

Being under center vs shotgun. Running the ball out of the shotgun

I understand there’s more than one way to skin a cat. But would just love to see a lot of the same from this past year. Would take some adapting on Lombardi’s part.

How do you know? You don’t. Having said that, no one truly knows how things will work no matter who is hired. However, it is very telling when people immediately take a negative outlook.

I think some people are waiting for who you think should be hired......

Can you tell me at what point LSU ran plays from under center this season?

Or how many carries CEH had with the QB under center?

What about how many times LSU used a FB? Any idea?

When have the saints built a whole offensive system around a mobile QB? which of course is what is needed to win big in CFB right now.

Brady’s time under joe Moorhead is so under appreciated. It’s what allowed him to adapt back to the college game and the main reason last year was so successful. Mixed with some of the pro stuff, it was great. But the foundation is that college stuff.

More than that, having 5 passing options out on every play is a big part of the Saints offense and the way to utilize the running back in the passing game as well.

The LSU offense was a combination, so I agree things could look different as I dunno how brushed up Lombardi is on the RPO offense but thats where maybe Steve could come in. Regardless this would be an excellent hire as Joe Lombardi is well respected.

Where do you think the panthers rank in offense next year?

The Saints offense is much more west coast based.

Think about how much they play with 2TE, or 2RB, or even both at the same time

LSU last year was full on spread.

100% shot gun. 4 & 5 wide.

No FB. 1TE.

Not even getting into the plays, but that’s just the formations. Very much different

I have no clue. Not sure who their QB will be

Don’t even know how Brady will acclimate back to the pro game. Rhule seems like a pretty good offensive coach, though.
