We've long come to understand that this guy is very likely a shite coach.
We hired him because of recruiting. If he doesn't recruit worth a shite...he'll be fired. Fairly simple concept IYAM.

You guys have spent the last 5 pages telling us that he's a solid recruiter and a shite coach. I'm not exactly sure why it's so tough for you guys to understand that we get that.

The criticism of BDP is excessive. Class act. Great recruiter. Very good LB coach. Fell out of Tiger graces when he was co-DC in '08 and on ST's of recent. As long as Hugh just lets him coach LB's he will be a good hire.

This is pretty much it. Why guys on here can't look at anything objectively and jump to hyperbole every chance they get is beyond me.
His issues were co-dc and special teams. Not linebackers. And don't give me the "he was demoted when O got the job". If you think there wasn't something more to that story then I don't know what to tell you.
