Has LSU contacted Jimbo Fisher and Tom Herman about this job? We can all agree the answer is probably yes.

If either of them want the job, it's theirs. No question. We will not hire Orgeron over Jimbo Fisher or Tom Herman. Even if O wins out.

So if you really think O gets the job, then you also think both Jimbo and Herman turn us down.

Well, that's a very distinct possibility. So what's your point?

I would hope a few other coaches turn it down too before hiring O

If O was going to be our coach, why don't they just announce him now? No point in waiting.

Simple post but I agree, and at this point the discussion need not go much further.

I think some think we hire O if he wins out no matter what. Not the case.

I know it could happen, but if both Jimbo and Herman turn us down, it is a sad day in our program.

To make the public think he earned it.

There is a good chance Fisher stays and Herman holds out for Texas. Who would be in queue?

The Herman to Texas is gaining traction again

I don't want him but I also have no faith in the administration to not frick this up, so I fully expect we're about to hire a 20-28 head coach who couldn't get an interview at syracuse.

The only other name I've heard mentioned is Larry Fedora. So who knows. It will then come down to a coach like that vs O.

The two coaches I mentioned are grand slam hires that O has no chance of beating out. When you get to others, he has a better argument and even then he may not get the big job.

I want Tom Herman first. If not him I want Chris Peterson. If not him I want Ed O. If all else fails maybe we can settle for Jimbo. I'm not impressed with Jimbo at all though.

BS, you think we are going to turn down jimbo or herman if they want this job? maybe if he won a natty, then ok. so funny how the goal posts are moved every week. first it was O has no shot unless he wins a natty. then it was O has no shot unless he wins SEC. Now if O wins out he gets it.

These two are basically rumor and there are legit chances they don't come here. There really is no telling who else may be in touch.

I'm just happy to go game by game here and let it play out.

Kinda like everyone there was no way les miles could save his job before the aTm game last year? Media and public perception saved miles last year. It will give coach o the job this year.
