With the Penn State administration wanting to de-emphasize football as they recently stated, plus the fact they aren't willing to offer a lot of money, who will end up getting this job.

I have a buddy who is a lifelong Penn State fan and he thinks that Current acting HC Tom Bradley or the HC of Harvard will get this job.

Despite all the terrible, it's still a great job in the scheme of college football and there are a lot of names that would be dumb not to go after it.

They need a complete break from the Joe Pa era. Retaining the interim HC would be a terrible idea.

Does it come with a new supply of underage children? Not intended to be funny. I wouldn't touch it....

Bradley has been the fan's choice for a few years now. While a lot of us would still love him to be the next coach, I am smart enough to know the Board of Trustees doesn't give a shite about me. They will clean house further, and Bradley will be let go.

At this point, I would rather see Bradley and the assistants get the best job they can while some of these are still open, as opposed to having no options this January when they get fired.

Lastly, the "de-emphasizing" may have been an overstatement from Erickson. I think he wants to emphasize Penn State as a world-class institution first, as opposed to a football factory. Paterno showed over the last 30 years that you can be successful in football while maintaining a high academic standard. It is not a new concept and I think Erickson should try to use that to hire a coach that will continue that.

Link?

This is the first I have heard of this.

I have been hearing the Harvard HC recently was a leading candidate.

I have trouble believing that the big red headed coach who saw Sandusky in the shower raping a kid would not have passed that info along to many others, especially seeing as Sandusky remained a fixture on the Penn St. campus.
