Who will be his OC? Not crazy about the guy he has at Nebraska. Would he retain and promote Gonzales, or bring in a young stud? This thing has possibilities.

If we hire Pelini, I'm giving up my season tickets.

Not because I hate him as HC that much, but because I think he will fail so miserably here that I'll be able to get tickets on the cheap.

I'm already 90% there re: cancelling my tickets anyway due to spiraling TAF fees.

He has no clue with an offense. With Watson,Cotton and Gilmore he has 3 of the worst coaches in the country.

With Pelini, we'd be getting rid of Chavis, probably Brick and Cooper as well. There's no assurance Wilson or Gonzo would stay either. If you think Miles is stubborn, wait till you see Pelini. He will not want to have to listen to others when picking out his coaching staff.

Pelini's brother would probably come with him and this could possibly cause huge problems down the road. Pellini would be a terrible hire for a number of reasons.

yeah i'll take your seats too. SOme of you are just rediculous. Pelini would have just as much success here as Les. He brought Nebraka back from the dead.

other than NU's defense playing better than it was before he arrived (which was rock bottom), the jury is very much still out on Pelini at NU.

He could still easily become the next Mike Archer + embarrassing temper/behavior.

Have you seen how good his recruitng is? Nebraska as a state is not very good and he is pulling in big time recruits.

In fairness this was in a year where the Big XII was shite. Won't even talk about his bowl game. Liked him as a tough DC here, but no more than the one we have now and don't see much else that he brings to the table.

well, ok, he is recruiting a little better than Archer so far. which was, well, rock bottom.

I just don't even remotely like the idea of that man being the HC for LSU.

hey Chicken, why did that new thread about the UMich plane heading to BTR right now get whacked? It's factual and has a link.

Ed: my apologies. It looks like the thread got stickied, not whacked.

For the record, i hope les stays but i do remember when lsu had a stubborn coach from 2000-2004, brought us back from the dead.

Save your he's stubborn analysis. Every great Coach is. Truth is Pelini is in Sabans league in terms of defense and they both are a step up from Chavis. Hire a good OC and the dominance continues.
