Gilbert is interviewing for OC.

Gundy is being looked at as an assistant. Although take that with a grain of salt. Cale has been with Okla for a long time i think.

He's a better OC than briles imo only thing is he uses a dual threat.

Did at UT and USF. Interesting to see how he uses Brennan.

Has O watched film on his offense yet or is he just looking at total offense stats and picking the guys at the top ala Canada?

He can use both style quarterbacks but the quick release of Brennan what he really likes. He wants the ball out asap.

FIFY.

Everyone who has reported on practices absolutely raves on how impressive Brennan looks in the passing game, whereas Narcisse is stellar on the ground but not anywhere near where Brennan is through the air.

I personally want the best overall QB on the field. I don't want to be locked in to just one kind of guy. Now we all have learned that practice doesn't mean shite (thank you, Brandon Harris). But according to many reports, Brennan is light years ahead of Narcisse in most aspects of the game. And that should be expected since LN did miss most of his final two HS seasons with consecutive ACLs...

ETA- before I get downvoted to hell, LN is a g@££amn tank. He was physically built to be an SEC QB as a junior in HS. This is no nock on him. I just want competition and for the best guy to win.

I like Gilbert alot. I had a thread about him last year when the Kiffin as OC rumors were flying - had a few stats on there if you care to look.

Anyway, looking at his history, 5 years/5 universities. Any concern there? Not sure if that's just the life of a coordinator these days or what. I just don't want a repeat of the Canada situation next off-season.

It'd be a great hire, hope Alleva doesn't frick it up.
