I live in Oklahoma and I've had email correspondence with Tramel several times over things he's said about other teams, particularly LSU and Tejas. He was hilarious when he bashed aTm for joining the SEC, saying they were just going to be a doormat for the top two thirds of the conference, but then they had Manziel and actually had a good couple year run and he started calling the SEC overrated and using aTm as the paradigm of his logic.
Granted, he's a huge OU homer and Tejas and aTm deserve every bit of smack that's talked about them... but occasionally he drops a few hit lines on LSU that are unwarranted. He is usually pretty fair anytime he mentions LSU, but occasionally he shows his inner disdain for the Tigers.
I agree with him that Riley should stay at OU... but not for the same reasons he's giving. But I'll say, the OU throng is definitely nervous if even Tramel is writing and talking about it.

For real though I don’t understand why they have to jump to insulting Baton Rouge and the state of Louisiana when they talk about these coaching searches
Most of them have never been to Baton Rouge, and their only experience with Louisiana is three days in New Orleans puking on Bourbon Street (which they rave about how great it is when they’re there for vacation)
