Many Louisiana recruits grow up dreaming of where they want to play...tiger stadium. Just because we tried to hire a coach and they say no it's not going to change many if any la recruits minds on where they go.
By that logic we should have lost all our recruits to UT and Herman.

I believe Riley is the guy, but should he turn out not to be, oh well. He will regret that decision when the losses continue to pile up and people start to talk about how weak the Big 12 really was.

They can put all the money they want into recruiting. OU will never have the athletes to compete at the top of the SEC.
He has seen that first hand now on several occasions. If he’s comfortable there, good for him, he’ll win as many SEC titles as Ole Miss since about 1960.

I know, right? Not a ploy to get a raise or substantial funds for assistant coaches, facilities, etc. (those deals were already in place a long time ago!

If this is true, it says a lot about his character. I can't fathom that a top tier coach would go as far as letting someone make such a substantial offer for recruiting leverage though. That seems a bit desperate to me.
