From his introductory press conference, I felt good, "this is the right guy to get us through the rest of the season", not really thinking he would legit be a candidate for the job. Had no idea that the team would step up like they have, and now we have a civil war on our hands.

O vs Anti-O. It's a full on rumble, ya'll.

Good thing fan opinion has 0 effect on this hire. I am confident in that.

The pollsters never saw it coming. He must have hired him a new campaign manager to shake things up.

Yes I did actually. I thought Miles & Cameron really were THAT toxic and that O would only have a loss to Bama.

Glad mob rule doesn't apply to this hire.

nah. this is a naturally divided fan base. the ONLY time I ever witnessed the LSU fanbase unified is immediately after a NC or when Saban begin to win at bama (we were NOT unified when he was here except right after his NC).

it really doesn't matter who we get as HC, there will be lots of folks that hate the selection. it's reality at LSU.

Our opinion, no, but they buckled under the public outcry last year, and there's been a few local media people pumping O for the job. People clamoring for Jimbo or Herman are panicking right now.

Once you're anti-O you're in all the way, from your first post to your last dying day

He has done no such thing. The dividers are the dumbasses that think arguing about who should be the next coach has any effect on the outcome.

This. The people shouting the loudest on the internet have zero affect on who will be hired.

No matter what happens with the hire, I applaud Coach O on making LSU football fun again. Even the Bama loss was damn fun game to be at, despite the result. And I've sure as hell enjoyed beating the hell out of teams we're supposed to beat the hell out of. It's been a welcome change.

They have 0 effect as well. And I dont think Alleva buckled under public outcry. His boss buckled and shut him down.

This fanbase is always divided, we didn't need Ed Orgeron for it.

Oh you mean like when fan opinion had zero effect on Miles being let off the hook last year and not being fired when he should have been. Ahhhhhhh got it, fan opinion has nothing to do with this hire!!!

One thing I could see happening though is Alleva having Jimbo in the bag for a large amount of money and F King stepping in and killing the deal again. We all know he is concerned about financial reputation and wants to be the hero of the fan base. I could see him forcing an Orgeron hire on Alleva. TAF would explode.

I think F King's BS reasons for that last year have been exposed and I don't see him trying to pull that again.

You really think the fans kept Miles? No, F King did. If you really think your voice matters to LSU admin, you are wrong. Its about $ and politics.

I always said that the best recipe for chaos would be LSU winning every game except a close Bama loss. That way, there would be no slam dunk argument for either camp. That's exactly what we have.
