Fedora will get taking apart in the SEC on field and on the recruiting trail. He has zero connections in this state and not enough in Texas to overcome the major players in that state.

Sounds like you have more of a personal problem with him than his actual coaching ability.

at USM and UNC....hell whats the coach from North Dakota State ? He's been pretty successful also then.

Wait, so every coach that has won at a non-SEC school is not "actually" successful and a coach that failed miserably in his only stint as a HC at a SEC school is a better option?

Sounds like your brother never made it off the scout team and you've got an axe to grind.

Yeah I can totally picture a coach walking around telling everyone this program is beneath him and he's just using it to move forward
That should really fire up the players!

Fedora is garbage, sad to see his name even mentioned in the same sentence as LSU

This. It's pretty sad we may end up with him to lead a top 5 program. I agree though, O shouldn't be a candidate at all

How many connections did Miles and Saban have in LA and TX before coming to LSU?

I remember the "old school" LSU fans saying the same thing about that yankee Nick Saban.....just sayin.

Within the last few hours, some of the heavies on the pay boards have started to report that Fedora is gaining favor and that the University officials (not AD) are concerned that paying Jimbo will put the school in a bad light. NO idea if this is true, just passing along the info.

True but the word on Saban was that he was an excellent recruiter as I recall. I have not heard that of Fedora. I have read his Bio and a article about him bringing in the former Illini coach that was canned for being a meanie. That being said I don't know much about him other than he's a spread type guy and his teams have scored a bunch of points. I just wish and hope we can do better.

Me too. He's not my first choice, but if it came down to him and Orgeron, I'd choose Fedora in a heartbeat.

1. Sounds like Fedora was honest with the USM players, 2. We aren't looking to hire your bother's BFF, 3. Fedora did a better job at USM and UNC than Orgeron did at Ole Miss.

I'm on the fence on that one. Offense Xs and Os no doubt. Running the program and recruiting against the other SEC schools I have serious doubts. Would Aranda stay and work for Fedora? Because without him let's face it he'll get destroyed.

Based on an unsuccessful head coaching stint vs. successful head coaching stints.

CEO took over an Ole Miss program that was in bad shape...in the best division of the best conference in NCAAF. Would Fedora have done better? Maybe.

When comparing the rest of their resumes, Fedora's does not stack up. CEO has been a part of multiple National Championships and coached under Jimmie Johnson, Dennis Erickson and Pete Carrol. I want us to look elsewhere for the job but the irrational hating on CEO as a coach on this site is joke. The man has been great for the program since the day he got here.
