I have never been a supporter of Ed Orgeron as head coach at LSU. Once he lost people such as Aranda, Brady, Ensminger, etc., and could not replace them with outstanding coaches, his weakness in terms of knowledge of the game was exposed. Some aspects of his recent personal behavior have been discussed here, but I will refrain. I just watched his press conference, and the man conducted himself in a professional manner and seems reconciled to his fate. Good luck to him in the future. I hope that SW has a coach in tow now.

He doesn’t have a choice. If he wants a painless paycheck he’ll dance a jig anytime Woody tells him to.

I agree that it might not be in his best interest, but he does have a choice. I would agree that had he not taken the so-called high road, some negative things could come out. LSU does not need this at this time.

Am I the only person bummed he got fired. Look at successful programs. They don't run through coaches. Also, I'm not sold on Woodward. He has a punchable face/haircut.

I hope LSU doesn't end up like Nebraska Tennessee, Miami, Florida State, USC, etc.

He wants money, and will do what he's told to ensure he receives that money.

He couldn't care less about any of it at this point. He's done.

Gambler, he had to go, and he caused some of his own problems. I hope we win some more games this year and hire a good coach to get this program going again.

I didn’t support the hire, and I never believed O could win a championship. But he did, and I can admit I was wrong. The guy loves LSU and deserves some love as he finishes the season.

The way this is being handled by all parties is night and day from the shitshow that was Les Miles’ final days at LSU. Props to all involved.
