well, you think his best buddy just played with him the whole time and Bobby was so naive he had no idea what was going on but just was trying to break his first big scoop as a journalist?

I think it's much more likely that Orgeron was really considering LSU...told Bobby as much...explained that he didn't want to move, etc...but ultimately was swayed by Kiffin.

To think Hebert intentionally misled LSU is pretty ignorant IMO.

Mudvagina will start those up about game 2. He's already a Chavis-skeptic

cooper really came out of left field. I was starting to feel uneasy and that maybe mallory was staying put. Great hire

O definitely burned us, but we did all we could there. Les probably had to swallow a lot of pride to even offer the guy.

Same here. Honestly, I do think Haley would be every bit as good of a COACH if not better then O. He has never been somewhere where recruiting was as fertile as LSU, so maybe he will be great in that arena as well. Of coarse, we could end up with someone else entirely.

How do I feel? Elated! I feel like Coach Miles has realized that LSU is built on solid, disciplined defense and has made some great hires to help that happen. Coupled with his own specialty of offensive power, LSU should be in great shape for a long, long time. Hats off to you, Coach Miles. Thank you for hearing our pain and doing something about it.

I like hearing this about chavis' D. janzen jackson says he was told this by Chavis

quote:

“He (Chavis) talked about the different coverages he’s going to run and they’re going to play a lot of Cover four,” said Jackson. “They’re going to put their corners on an island and let them handle their own more so than bringing the safeties up to help.

“The safeties are going to help on the posts and towards the middle of the field, but he says he needs corners that are physical enough to be out there and not need a lot of help. He said they’re going to play more bump and run with the corners where they press more.”

I like the hire. I'd been wanting Walker (and to an extent Tenuta) for a long time, but I doubted it happening.

Have we gotten much input from SC regarding Cooper?

sc fans seem pretty pissed he's gone. said he was probably their best assistant

as for tenuta. another offseason and again still hasn't gotten another DC job. Not only passed over here again, but even a school like clemson who is familiar with him and his D, was supposedly looking for a coach that matched his style, did not look his way.

this dude must be a serious asswipe
