I'm glad for you max.

I thought you were going to burn hebert's house down after O gate

maybe miles was a genius for sacrificing this year with the co-dc's. we wouldn't have gotten this staff last year.

I am kidding, of course

well. i'm not. i made this point a few times this season. we could of settled hiring someone just to hire someone that didn't have the experience or was up to par.

even if we had a better season i still think the co-def situation was not going past this season.

it was a band-aid or a temporary fix.

4 or 5 successful seasons and a couple SEC titles could have people forgetting about this season.

I always liked it, it's kinda like the crowton hire. Still want to wait and see the first coupla games before getting really pumped.

Seriously though I'm not sure what could have been worse than what we had the latter half of the season (excluding the ball game).

No doubt but clearly the guy was desperate to get a HC gig.

yeah. he would of been here 3 years top. his hire would almost ensure we fight for O more than we did.

I was never huge on O being here or not.

Me either. I can buy into him being a lights out rcruiter, but if we get coaches that properly coach the talent we have, then we will be in the running for a NC, which in turn will recruit for us. Miles has done fine without O. So then the question is is Haley equal or better than O on the coaching side of things.

I wouldn't have had a problem with 3 and out. But that would have been based on him being patient and waiting on a quality job. He obviously didn't want to go that route.

we def. upgraded with the chavis hire. the cooper hiring is a grand slam IMO. i expect chavis will be handling lb's and i'm sure he'll be an improvemtn over peveto. seeing what cooper has done with uscjr's talent makes my mouth water based on the guys he'll have to work with at lsu.

i still want to see if he can re-transition to a talented defense and bring the heat or if the good part of a decade of soft coverage has been burned into his brain forever

and bobby hebert's house is not safe

well, you think his best buddy just played with him the whole time and Bobby was so naive he had no idea what was going on but just was trying to break his first big scoop as a journalist?

Now you're being naive. Bobby was on the take trying to get him more money and getting a percentage.

Probably alittle of all of that. No doubt Bobby jumped the gun on it. But I don't think he was trying to harm LSU.

I really wouldn't doubt O would use a friend as a mouth piece to get every dollar he could out of USC. Why would hebert knowingly piss off a guy who basically controls his son's future?
