Here's the thing about all this "source" crap. They were played, pure and simple. Played by the people that wanted Mack gone to expedite that process and played by Sexton to snag a few more Mil for Saban. You can't fault the people for simply relaying what they were told.

Now the people spreading blatant lies, shame on them because they were playing with people's families.

I hope so, otherwise we may have to go through all of this again next year
Coaching Changes board is always the most wonderful time of the year. It's sole purpose is to post rumors and laugh. This year the most hypersensitive fans in all of sport decided that everyone doing so was a meanie.

For those who don't realize it: TheDoc trolls all boards 24/7. None of what he posted was surprising. The incredible volume of bites was entertaining, though.

I didn't post much on the CCB this week because it was frustrating to wade through all of the crap that was lying around. There was some funny shite on here, though...

If you're still here Mr. Chicken, please free genro.

I'm not sure what happened with genro, but his act was tired long before this board opened. His LSU obsession reached a tipping point quite some time ago. It's probably best for his home life and mental health if he takes a short break.

My problem is when threads were started indicating CNS was staying they never were stickied or they were whacked.
Any intelligent discussion regarding CNS staying were met with "melt" " you mad" "he gone" and discussions that Bama fans were delusional.
Our rivals, AU, and UT fans pretty much stayed out of the mess. LSU fans were insane, and now say they were just trolling.

And who were these "so called" sources? Let me guess the internet..
Saban was never going anywhere. Did Sexton pimp Saban out to Texas to get more money from UA? Possible but IMO that doesn't sound like Saban's MO.

This whole thing was blown up by Texas BOR and some of the big boosters at Texas and then when Saban didn't come out and sqaush the rumors like he's done three times a year for the last eight years it got bigger.

Sexton no doubt knew these "rumors" started by Texas BOR, boosters, and UT fans blowing this up bigger would bring in more money for Saban. If this is how it went down then Sexton went about it the wrong way and IMO Saban had nothing to do with it.

Saban doesn't "negotiate" money,contracts,...etc. He pays an agent to do that so why "run" and post things on the internet when in all reality Chicken and Doc didn't know shidt and their "so called" source either.

IMO people that "run" and post rumors on the internet that they don't know are true or not and try and make everybody else believe "the rumor" is true by slinging shidt at every op that try's to be rational about the situation doesn't deserve any sympathy.

:blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

ETA: And you think the Texas fans are the ones that look stupid... What ever makes you feel better....

at Bama fans on an LSU website complaining that LSU fans are supportive of Saban leaving Alabama. From my POV I was going to enjoy the meltdown from Austin or Tuscaloosa depending on where Saban landed.

Just because it doesn't fit the Alabama story doesn't mean that everyone is a bunch of liars.

It really is possible for both sides to be right here.

So you believe that Saban is in the hole $25,000,000 and Texas boosters paid it off?

I had to have posted his own avatar to him at least six... maybe even eight times.

Terry Saban accidentally told a major national paper, on the record, that they didn't feel appreciated by Alabama. Jimmy Sexton accidentally let it slip that Saban would consider going to Texas. Lastly, I have a bridge to sell you.

Not serving crow but there was never more than rumor spreading going on. It wasn't that long ago that a warning was posted against it.It was permissible for some but not for others. It's just facts.

Link to me saying that he was leaving? I'll show you dozens of posts if mine saying the exact opposite.

While I wait, I'll point out that I was replying to someone who said it wasn't "Saban's MO" to use Texas to get a raise. The clear evidence is that is exactly what happened.

Lastly, very few people actually thought he was leaving but Jesus, y'all have been thin skinned. It's been a fun week.

The entire purpose of the coaching changes board is to post rumors. Always has been. Sorry if it hurt your feelings this year.

Politiceaux never actually said that he was gone. Sure, a lot of LSU fans did: some were serious, some were rustlin'.

The fact remains that, even as easy as it might be to lump them together (some of them lump us together too when they talk about trailer parks and a combined tooth count ) we have to take them on a case-by-case basis.
