I just don't want this tidbit to go unlaughed at.

Closing note – Ole Miss spent $137,000 with Turnkey Search firm on this one.

Ross Bjork aimed all along to hire a sitting Power 5 head coach. He traveled the country to find one, interviewing eight candidates for the Ole Miss job. Turns out, Bjork did hire a sitting Power 5 head coach. He happened to be sitting in a chair in the Ole Miss head coaches’ office.

I wonder who all turned Ole Miss down?

I guess it's important for everybody to have dreams even if unattainable. I'm not sure how keeping Luke gets you any closer. I assume everybody turned them down with the NCAA cloud hovering. Luke must have been the only guy willing.

There's nothing to laugh at here. This is how much lawyers and shite cost to do just about anything at this level. They also are required by bylaws to have outside people re-vet Matt Luke before a contract can be finalized.

The same firm LSU used to hire the interim shrimp boat captain.

We were just smart enough not to saddle ourselves with a 12 million buyout.

Did a search firm find him the first time?

The Ole Miss athletic department operating revenue in 2016 was over $110 million dollars. With everything they are going through and with such a big decision with their program I just can’t fathom a 1 time 137k Opex consulting fee to help the decision makers gather all the options to make the best business decision for the university. I agree makes no sense.

I don’t even see how this is funny.

Tennessee literally is going to pay a guy who has never been to Knoxville, $20 million to never come to Knoxville in the future.

$137K is chicken scratch to these programs. That is absolutely nothing.

I'm sure the search firm contacted a bunch of candidates and they realized that the sanctions were turning too many people off.

I fricking wish Alleva had paid a search firm.

Sounds like the search firm let them know that nobody was interested.

Yea, I really don't get why our fans feel they have a right to laugh.

Our AD didn't even conduct a search. You made about the same level of hire we did and we're a top 10 program.
