If he does take that job, then thanks for everything Coach. Seems like a huge mistake to me, but, Ive also never been offered 5 million a year to be fired in 3.5 years.

If Norvell is smart he would take the Missouri job or now that Peterson has resigned....Washington. If I am Norvell no way do I want to compete for third place in the SEC West for the next 4-5 years...might as well stay at Memphis and build the program....they are already beating Ole Miss regularly.

He reportedly has interest in the FSU job. Their spoiled fans are too stupid for their own good. He would do a good job there.

Then you guys picked a lousy year to hire a coach. Two of the best available candidates have notable baggage.

My buddy that played at Ole Miss and keeps in touch with current staff members said that they are all hearing it is Norvell or bust and that people are confident they'll get him.

The whole plan was to get Norvell if they fired Luke and they wouldn't have done so without gauging Norvell's interest first.

I thought Norvell had a gambling addiction or something that made him untouchable by big schools?

Word from Ole Miss people is a "history" of cocaine and strippers that there might be photographic evidence of.

Who gives a shite? He is paid to win games and that's exactly what he seems to be good at.

So.. take the Missouri job where you can compete for... well... 4th or 5th place every year over the Ole Miss job where you can compete for... well... 4th or 5th place every year?

He’s kept his nose clean at Memphis so far. Probably water under the bridge.

Mizzou has made it to the SEC championship twice in 6 years. How about Ole Miss?

One thing Mizzou has in its favor- the East is more fluid than the West. But that’s really their only advantage.

Arkansas owns their state and likely has more resources because of that, but their recruiting base is weak.

Ole Miss is in the West and spilts a smaller state with another school. They do have a by far the best recruiting base of the three, though.

They all have major red flags.

Umm yeah, except that’s not true.

The jobs are relatively similar so wouldn’t argue with anyone who thinks Ole Miss is better.

So... in the foreseeable future, Missouri is going to be better than Florida, Georgia and apparently Tennessee?

Truth be told all but 5 schools in the SEC are pretty much the same.

I'm just curious about these rumors that surround him. I would be fine with him, but I don't wanna hire him then have that all come out and be true
