Yeah. Let's just roll the dice on a guy with a pretty checkered past who sounds like a complete tard.

He better have Lane.

The positive of O is a new oc, good staff stays bdp fired. He will recruit well and Alleva will be fired.

I'm really more pissed at this being a 3 person search. The only worse outcome would be fedora

If he can keep Aranda and get a "TOP-NOTCH OC...I'm on board. I just hope he is a great a recruiter as everyone says he is. After all...that's half the battle in CF.

U.T. Pushed Johnny Majors out for a line coach named Fulmer, didn't work out so bad won a natty and had a very good run, O was not my first choice but I am not jumping ship, give him a chance.

I'm giving him a chance. It's apparently my only choice now. I've sat through Archer, Hallman & Dinardo. Hoping this won't be #4

It's to late man. If O flops like he probably will we will right back in the 90's. I do not want to go through that again. I lived it. It sucked. And we are headed back. This is not good at all.

There are going to be people that are passed no matter who we hired. Weven as fans need to acknowledge the hire and support whoever is hired.

This level of melt isn't warranted. Am I thrilled? Absolutely not. Is O a good solid hire? Yes he is. LSU Will be just fine with orgeron.

SPOT ON! Regardless of what nay-sayers spin, he had a great run this season. He competed, and won in the SEC W which we all know is not easy. Sure, I bet he too would like to replay those last two plays vs UF, but his team played toe to toe with Bama and gave them the most competitive game they will have this season.

ALL indications are he knocked his interview out the park. He knows he needs a new OC and ST coach. He knows we NEED to get players like Wilson, Allen, Akers, etc into the fold. While he was NOT my 1st choice, he is now the HC of the program I love. Geaux Coach O, and Geaux Tigers!!!

PS The man bleeds purple and gold, and we'll never have to worry about him leaving for MICH or anywhere else!

If we get a homerun OC and keep Aranda, we'll do great.

I'm going to give him a chance, I'll still watch the games. But I'm not optimistic. I don't think he will win the west as long as Saban is at Bama, and I think this hire will be as good as the JJ basketball hire...

Yes. I was on the Jimbo train, and was thoroughly disappointed to hear this news this morning, but that's the beauty of being an adult......you get over this stuff quick. I'm not abandoning LSU, I don't hate Alleva, and we aren't entering the dark days. Some people here need a slap in the face. Repeatedly.

This thread is my safe space from the cess pool that has taken over TD. Happy to be among other rational tiger fans (although we seem to be outnumbered here).

I'm right here

There's no reason for me to believe he's the same coach he was at Ole Miss like these fricking idiots are clamoring to...

The Florida game shouldn't have been close. Guice and Dellahousaye lost that game.

Change the offense and find a QB that doesn't play like a backup.

I'll give him a chance. I don't mind it.

I do think LSU lands Devonta Smith and Dylan Moses now he's been named head coach
