Didn't he get the job basically because the jackass before him got caught trying to dig up some dirt on him? I am just saying, its a possibility.

No it isn't.
He was the head coach in waiting. Just got the job a year early. the job is his and there's no reason to think he's going anywhere.
Hell, after this year and a coaching change after spring practice, I think they've done very well and will compete in the Big 12.

Compete? Yes. Win more than 7 or 8 games a season? No.

Houston Nutt will never coach a major college football program again. He has personal failings that are well known. He cannot recruit. He is a coach who can get a lot out of players of lesser talent, so he may land a job at a smaller school in a BCS conference, or some other mid-major program like Tulsa, Louisville, UCF, etc, but he will NEVER get a shot at a major school again.
He's done. Stick the fork in him.

So the AP sez Joe Pa is done at the end of the season. Who is on the list? I say Rutgers coach and Skip Holtz.

Looks like it is time to update this one. Might want to consider re-opening teh Coaches Vacancy board.

Plus, with the current news, you're not that attractive as a program, period.
I do feel sorry for everyone there. It's not the fans' fault, but had you hired a new coach when Joe Pa passed, say 70, you wouldn't be in this situation.

The college team that calls the Mercedes-Benz Superdome home may be looking to the Saints for their next head coach. Tulane University has reportedly asked the Saints for permission to talk to WR coach Curtis Johnson and TE coach Terry Malone to fill the Green Wave's vacant head coach position.

I don't think we need to be. I think whoever it is will get carte blanche to build from the ground up their way. It's as perfect a scenario for any coach that would want it. They just had a report on Urban as a possible replacement on local Philly TV...who knows?

Maybe Minnesota? Jerry Kill needs to walk away from coaching; I'm scared he's going to die on the sidelines.
