You know the OU boosters are going straight to the media with this to put pressure on Riley. The optics would be enough to make him back away from LSU so his team/university doesn’t abandon him like they’ll feel he’s doing to them.

I think any ploy for a salary bump carries the implicit comment that they're willing to take another job if they don't get it. But I do agree that the salary bump is the goal. It's only about who will give it to him.
