I was at ON3 and there was a new article titled "Alabama hires Kalen DeBoer to replace Nick Saban"
The article was immediately deleted, and when someone posted it on the Bama board at ON3 it was whacked immediately.
Did they leak it?

They probably have one of those created already for all the major candidates just so they can be the first to post it when it breaks.

Yep. Generic articles written for all of the known and assumed candidates. Writer just hit the publish button instead of draft.

Similar to obituaries

I know a writer that was let go from The Athletic last year. He had written numerous obituaries for living sports figures during his time at The Athletic. None of the subjects have died yet, but when they do, The Athletic will immediately publish their obituary written by a fired writer.
