First off, why would it be a nightmare to go up against a guy that can't beat out JJ for playing time
Second, he already used his redshirt and he is a Junior. If he transfers he has to sit out a year (his senior year) and it would likely be the end of his career.

I get the feeling les is gone and we end up with a goon like pelini who sets recruiting back a step. instead of a sometimes goofy coach we get an out of control hothead.

Exactly, if Lee transfers, he'll go to an FCS school, so he can play. He can't play at an FBS school.
