I'd like the Hogs to add Darryl Patton to the staff. Dude knows offense.

I would imagine the IMG coach would be a valuable asset in recruiting

That would be Steve Walsh.

If you want to be a coach in college football FBS you need to start as a graduate assistant and work your way up or you start off in the Division II and III ranks before you get a job as an assistant coach at the FBS level.

No one should nor can make the jump from HS to being a head coach at the FBS level.

That's not necessarily true at all. Guz Malzahn, Hugh Freeze and Art Briles all went from HS, to assistants at major D-I programs, to successful head coaches

Now if you're saying no one should make the jump from successful HS coach directly to D-I HC, (ala Gerry Faust) then I would tend to agree.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Micky Conn at Grayson HS move up. (Nkemdiches' coach). He's got Bama background.

I know Chuck Kyle (Cleveland St. Ignatius) was in the running for the OSU job when Tressel got hired. I could see the current St. Edward (Lakewood, suburb of Cleveland and archrival of St. Ignatius) coach maybe getting a college job somewhere.
