This time of year is just to disruptive to most NCAA teams. Coaches leaving and talking of leaving. I think the NCAA needs to have a rule similar to the NFLs rule about no coaching changes until after the whole season is over. This is the time of year players and fans always look forward to. Agents and Headhunters are having a field day starting rumors and leaking info just for their own personal greed. If players cant have agents before the end of the season why should coaches be doing the very same thing?
Maybe extend the recruiting time table a month or so and then let all these coaches get on the carousel It may even be fun to watch.

That's kind of funny considering we got Miles while Okie State was preparing for their bowl game. I think maybe Miles was thinking about LSU instead of preparing for whoever they got beat by.

That is exactly my point guttata!. This coaching carousel isn't fair to anyone. I was pissed at the time that LSU got a coach with such bad timing. It is a major disruption to NCAA football.

If they do that, then they also need to change the recruiting schedule.

That is the main reason why schools are in such a hurry to find new coaches, even if it disrupts other teams.

I would not think NCAA has any jurisdiction over that whatsoever. I suppose if there were some coaches union, maybe they could.

I understand what you are saying but with college football being a 12 month a year job especially with recruiting and off season workouts starting in January you need to be able to have a guy ready as soon as possible.

No, the NCAA is too busy dictating to schools about having Indian mascots.

I totally agree. I said this when the Saban fiasco started. It's not fair that these kids play their hearts out all year and then have to deal with these rumors. If these chancellors and pres. are so worried about money and that's why they don't want a playoff system, then why jeopardize your team's opportunity at a good bowl by stupid losses at the end of the season. It's a joke, these players are pawns for the universities to make money. Dorsey should have worried about himself and went and made millions like Jruss, who would fault him, that's what these universities, coaches, and their agents do. It's ridiculous. Just move recruiting up a month, they don't spring practice with the team anyway....

Are you going to make a rule that the media can't speculate. I'm pretty sure that is covered by the Constitution, and by the way the NFL had to deal with this same think with Saban and Bama last year.
