If he loses 2 games a year at notre dame with that schedule, he’d lose 4 a year here. It is what it is

Are we looking at any coaches who go undefeated every year?

He took them to the national championship last year, almost won it all

So if they make the playoffs this year, he would’ve made it three out of the last four years

LSU been one out of the last 6 seasons

Give respect where and when it’s due

They didn’t almost win the national championship. They got their doors blown off

yes there are plenty trolls on this site and plenty in this thread. You cant even post anything anymore without someone using an alter and trolling others about their post or reply using ridicule. Its pathetic. Chicken needs to install a "block user" function. This would essentially eliminate the trolling bs.

TBH, I think at this point, getting Freeman would be pretty decent. Not saying that I want him or that he'd do great here, but after everything we've seen the past 2 weeks, getting Freeman would actually still feel like a win compared to some other names I've heard. I wouldn't have felt that way when we first let BK go, but things have changed since then. I'd consider him to be tier 2 on my list, but he's definitely tier 1 over at LSU.

You’re getting downvoted for some reason but you’re 100% correct. When BK was fired, there were several threads on here asking about qualities wanted in the next coach:
-Young and hungry
-Connects with players, players love playing for him
-great recruiter
-Expertise on one side of the ball eliminating the need to hire elite coordinators
-Success as a HC at a big program

Freeman checks all of those boxes.
100% agreed. Very good reply!

Did you watch the whole game? It was a 1 score game with under 2 minutes to play. ND jumped out early. OSU went up big during the middle of the game. ND came back in the 3rd and 4th to get it to 1 score in the 4th quarter. OSU kicked a FG with 20 seconds left to make it 34-23.

How so?

Young
Motivated
Players love playing for him
Great at X’s and O’s - not a CEO
Good recruiter
Has made the playoffs and made a run in the playoffs which Kiffin has not

Given the candidate pool, how would Freeman be a disaster?

In a blind resume Freeman is one of the most attractive coaches in the FBS right now. There are only 3 (correct me if I'm wrong) active head coaches with national titles, so unless someone is expecting to get one of them, Freeman is top tier. ND hatred and BK's failures are the only knocks against Freeman.

I think the bigger issue was that O was on his last leg and everyone knew it

F u c k Free Man. Better coaches than him are available. Georgia Tech coach Key would be my pick.
