Perhaps a better question is why would Aranda leave Baylor?

He's already familiar with LSU. He was there for at least 6 years. He knows the expectations.

They can pay him without publicity on total contract.

I don't think money really is the issue with him. I mean, he's not going to do it for nothing but I don't think LSU would have to shell out a ton of money to get him. For this reason and the above reason is why I think he'd leave. Obviously it's not entirely up to him, he'd have to get with his wife and talk about it but if it would provide a better life for his kids, at a place he's already familiar with and understand what the expectations are, I could see him taking the job. Who knows if it'll happen. But it wouldn't surprise me.

Aranda may prefer being a large frog in a small pond.

Maybe but I doubt it. Someone will make a run at him, it's possibly already happened.

This is just my opinion. I have no sources.

I'll be disappointed if it's not Riley or Aranda.

Big fricking difference in Baylor and LSU

A lot of fans want Napier. Many don’t. They’re the ones posting a lot. Stop with the condescending bullshite gump.

Napier has proven nothing to this point
He turned a bottom feeding "Sisters of the Poor" program at the University of Southwest Louisiana and evolved it into a Top 20 program.

All reports are that he's "Saban Like" Organized.

What would he do with all that LSU talent properly managed and coached, along with a great DC?

If you can't see the possibilities, then you got your head buried in the sand.........

That's all they are is possibilities. There's little that he's proven he can do at an SEC level. Turning the "sisters of the poor" into a force in the Sun Belt doesn't equate to winning in the SEC.

Are you trying to compare Aranda getting the Baylor job to Napier getting the LSU job??

If Napier wants a top 5-10 job in the country, he needs to go to a place like Baylor first and show his work in an actual conference.

Remember the days when Hudspeth was seen as a potential replacement for Mullen if he left MSU?? That’s how this works.

The Napists need to understand it takes more than a couple of good seasons in Lafayette to earn the LSU job.

How so many people are ok with this should be mind blowing. But, of course, most people are fricking idiots and if enough hack writers and podcasters say something, they fall in fricking line when they’re told to

Not true. They had just recently come off some success. Yes he did better, but nobody is pushing for Hud as a great HC option

His OC hire may be a bigger concern than his DC hire

SFP, don’t cut off the best part that post...

Being ranked for a few weeks doesn’t make UL a “top 20 program”

I can’t decide which group was worse, the Napists or the CheeriOs.

Honestly it’s probably the Napists. At least O had his Interim Ed stints to prop them up. I mean even that failed under scrutiny but damn at least it was something

CheeriOs are so much worse.

O had a long history as an idiot and HC failure.

The coordinated media effort is similar, though. I don't know how these media guys can pretend they're reporting actual news this time when it's clear they're just doing the O routine again. The curtain was pulled back already and even our biggest idiots in the fanbase should see the intentional manipulation going on.

This is true

And yeah the local media push was what immediately jumped out to me as a flag when it started.

These guys clearly have a vested interest in who is chosen, and anyone that they already have an established relationship with makes their job much easier.

And if they can be seen as someone that helped them get the job, that can guarantee access and treatment that actually puts money directly into their pockets.

Jodry: "I just got a text that says Napier wants UF"...aka, Napier texted me to say that to get the fanbase scared

I imagine the deal with Napier has already been struck...same as it was with O prior to his push in the media as interim.
