I was wearing a State shirt when we fired him. Was in the grocery store and an old lady walked past me and said, "Its a great day to be a bulldog, about time we fired him."

Im not trying to get into the arguments you have with other posters. But that incident shows me it was more than just the message board contingent was tired of him. I was shocked when it happened because I wouldnt have expected it from an old lady.

Anecdotal I know, but surprising

ETA: Ive had other random interactions prior to the bowl game of people seeing my State clothing and ask if I think the coach will ever "get it together" in regards to Joe

Has everything to do with it.

Basketball player cheated too. You firing Howland yet. You swallowed a shiny hook. Cheating had zero to do with anybody other than the cheaters who got caught and punished.... and that goes against your "not held accountable" line.

he did nothing but react to twitter comments and calling out fans. He brought this on himself. There is not one thing you can point to during Joe's tenure where you can say that area has improved over the past two years.

Nop, he called out the right people for spreading lies that hurt recruiting. He should have, and you should have been proud that he took those people to task.

They are cancerous to every program you have.

Areas of improvement. A QB that can throw it. increase in quality players. Balanced your fricked up roster left by Mullen. DTs playing way better as freshman than the beginning of the year. Recruiting at a higher rate than Mullen did. And don't give me that average class ranking BS. Because we know that's what it is.

Your own points state he recruited more 4 stars than any coach in a 2 year period. He recruited your very first 5 star OL

But here is the facts.. Moorhead is done. Now you will have to face those same people again. They will come after Howland next and any new HC in football after 1 year if they think it was the wrong hire.

Welcome to UT in Mississippi.

Get off your knees for the man JJ. It's embarrassing. You spoke highly of the guy when he was hired and you're in too deep to go back on your word.

You seem to struggle with putting 2 and 2 together in this situation. What you're failing to understand is that quality candidates aren't going to ask about the context because they are voluntarily eliminating themselves from the position before they would even be able to ask about the context.

Here is the context of anybody that will come to Ms ST. They fired a guy before he was allowed to make needed changes because sometimes, staff doesn't work out.

If they didn't give their #2 in history guy a chance to make the changes AFTER HE AGREED to them, I'm not going to get any different treatment.

One thing is for sure. Those that started this, now need to be mocked openly and shunned. CANCER

I have said over and over that Moorhead is gone and it's done.

At this point it's about waking your fan base up to reality. You lied to yourselves. You were lied to by a person claiming to speak for the AD.

Please... go look for your self. Their are posts all over this site talking about it being a done deal with Napier.

Was it?

You’re extremely gullible if you’re reading and believing ED. The whole fanbase wanted Joe gone. Thank you for your unwavering interest in our program.
