Surprisingly enough I'd be ok if we hired him.

Why in the world would Napier be frustrated? He is fixing to cash in and is fixing to become the head coach at one of the top football programs in the country. Yes, LSU is the logical and convenient situation…Woodward does not like to go after a coach that has not been at a big program…He would prefer to overpay a coach from another big name school. Napier is going to continue to be a successful coach. If that means it happens in Gainsville, so be it.

To be clear LSU hasn't offered him, they have just said what they are open to to get him to listen.

At this point hire Napier and be done. He's a good coach and all this bleeding needs to stop.

Jesus Christ people. This is the same crap that led to Orgeron. Same people likely doing it as well. I bet if I go back and look at your posts you were a Cheerio

He should blame O. If O wasn't "one of us" Napier might have had a shot.

The fact that he's agonizing over moving his family shows me that he's not the guy. You think Saban or Urban care about moving their family? Both of them would've taken the UF job by now, hell Urban did. Who the hell has to be convinced to take the Florida job?

Napier's not the next great coach. Moving the family is a small price to pay to be great.

How do you know this? Without naming names you can give us a hint because your level of "insight" is not believable otherwise

How is Orgeron any better than Miles?

If Ed Orgeron doesn’t hire a proven QB coach then this is a failed experiment

Congrats to Florida and all for going after him early but he’s not moving his family to Gainesville if he doesn’t have to

Just curious why you think this? Do you have sources that usually know this stuff?

And if Napier says no LSU didn't want him anyway, right?

I know people that know people in his camp. I was stumping hard for Napier when it looked like LSU was going to have a comprehensive search instead of putting their eggs into one basket.

Napier is tired of moving around. He’s raising young children and the stress of moving on his wife has been awful. They really don’t want to have to make a big move yet again. They like the idea of living in Florida but Louisiana has been great to them thus far.

There’s no situation in which LSU offers him and Napier doesn’t take the job.

I like Napier, but he’s behind Aranda, Rhule, Cristobal, and a few others, IMO. But he’s definitely ahead of Mark Stoops.

Quite honestly, ALL college coaches are notches behind Saban, so if it ain't Nick (which it is not), it's a crap shoot!

Napier is the best logical choice for LSU. Which is exactly why we probably will do something different and stupid. Not a huge fan of Woodward thus far. Guy has a pretty poor record of over paying for average coaches….. Jimbo!

Ah..Ok, coming from the Napier camp. That is believable. There aren't too many MAJOR backers at UL. There are probably more than you would expect, but not like LSU or Florida
