Gator Fever

We have some talent but definitely have some deficiencies in some areas. Taking off the glasses from the first 4 games results I am back to 8-4 is a good first season. 9-3 would be a really nice first season. This defensive system has me nervous though. We can't just let a QB stand back there doing his taxes like in the Mizzu game when we don't have a really good secondary.

A 3 loss SEC team if there is any may get a playoff spot this time as the Big 10 likely only gets 3 teams to 10-2 or better. I wonder if there will be any 3 loss SEC team with 9 games though. It may drop from 2 losses to 4 losses at that area of the standings.

LSU is robbing state money. It's so bad with Louisiana football schools the state legislature said their teams need to drop down a level to save money. G6 teams down to FCS and Power 4 teams down to G6.

Coasting to the playoffs? Mizzu manhandled our O line and D line. Complete train wreck there in that game. How does 2 CBs and a QB fix that?

How are we favored by double digits in Vegas or this after that train wreck on Saturday?

I think Philo can work in this system.but we will see I guess. Watching the replay the main thing Mizzu didn't do that Auburn and Ole Miss did was the LBs reaction to the shifts etc. Mizzu made a point for the LBs to play things safer (maybe they always do I dont know) and that combined with our O line getting handled plus TEs missing blocks resulted in that train wreck. Probably the biggest joke was Mizzu getting quick pressure using just 3 linemen on many plays.

Well it could possibly be Drinkwitz biggest SEC win if we end up at least 5 - 4 in SEC games this season.

Vegas loves us in this game. We opened up around 2 TD favorites.

I will reserve judgment a little but I still have faith this offense can be decent the rest of the season if the O line doesn't have another game like that again. Defense doesn't look that good but I wouldn't throw this in with any of Napier's seasons as far as the first 5 games.

2022: Lost to KY at home and to TN on the road. Did beat a good Utah at home but still not a good start to the season. (Napiers best 5 game start)

2023: Got smoked at KY and handled at Utah.

2024: Destroyed by Miami at home and handled at home against A&M.

2025: Lost to a G6 team at home, lost at LSU and got smoked at Miami. We did upset TX but that doesn't make up for that train wreck during the prior 3 games.

I hope so. SC might have some fight in them for this game though. The players know their coach is done if they lose this game to us

Sumrall is definitely pissed looking at the press conference. I am sure a lot of players are going to be called out in addition to the whole team effort when they review this train wreck of a game.
