Any rumors on S&C coach?

Yep Ohio State definitely has motivated boosters. I would be curious to see who their biggest football and NIL boosters are. Do we even have any of our Billionaires into football much? Not sure if Condron is worth over a Billion or not but we dont have anyone wealthier than him that is into supporting sports that much. I guess we are lucky it just doesn't go by alumni wealth though or the Ivy League and them would buy all the good players.

They could do better but I do wonder if becoming as "nerdy" as a school as we have become has led to not having too many real big boosters as interested in football. I think we were on par with Bama and them from the 80s to early 2000s with that but not as much anymore. I think we are getting a Stanford like effect with the graduates where the alumni that become really wealthy are less inclined to be a big time football person.
re: I think the Lagway situation will tell us how serious this new coach is...

My fear is we keep paying Lagway way too much and don't get a good QB that could take over and play good if needed. The new recruit will need a year on the bench, our backup might not be good SEC starting material and Lagway may never get good at reading a defense. Lagway doesn't have much portal leverage after how he has played. The coach needs to treat the situation as it is.

Yep UConn will have most of the crowd.

A@M beat nobody except ND...

GA lost to a crappy Bama team unlike Ohio State.

Not after how Ohio St has dominated the SEC the past couple of seasons.

They did what I thought buffered Bama between ND and Miami.

Bama has the best argument on good wins.

Tulane would be the #4 seed with a bye under last year's rules.
re: If Bama got bumped up due to their "improved" run game vs. Auburn...

Yep with that criteria Miami should jump them.
re: Tulane 34 | UNT 21 - FINAL (Jon’s a playoff coach!)

If the rules weren't changed from last season Tulane would get the #4 seed and a bye week in the playoff from being the 4th ranked conference champion.

Even with Lee not being able to hit a shot with how some of our opponents are playing now we might not be as bad as we think.
re: If the top 4 seed rules hadn't been changed an 11-2 Tulane would be the #4 playoff seed..

I do think they should guarantee all power 4 champions get a spot even if you get a Duke situation. It makes the conference games more important than just saying the highest rated conference team is guaranteed a spot.

The committee has the issue of the ACC possibly not getting a team in but if they didn't change the top 4 seed rules an 11-2 Tulane G5 team would have a bye week and be the # 4 seed.
re: On Indiana and "talent rankings"
Posted by Gator Fever on 12/7/25 at 8:31 am to Timeoday
Well them doing that will assure the SEC wins some actual big games in the playoff this time unlike last season.
re: On Indiana and "talent rankings"

Indiana is the lowest team in the Big 10 on talent composite rankings and only #72 in the whole country. Only seven 4 stars on the roster. Pretty crazy.

Crazy seeing Indiana has the worst talent composite rating in the entire Big 10 and is only #72 in the whole country but are winning like that. Only seven 4 stars on the entire roster.

Hopefully we are pretty active this portal window unlike the past one.

I think they are more worried about Bama and ND getting in than the ACC not getting a team in. They will just tweak the rule to assure the ACC Champ gets in next season.
