I felt better about Riley to LSU before all these Riley to LSU done deal threads.

I initially thought the same thing but after the explanation it really made a lot of sense. Coupled with the fact that OU has to pay approximately $76-80 million to leave the Big 12 for the SEC, I can see where they’re not going to overextend themselves currently.

I will tell you this on the breaking news because I asked my source the same thing. One thing most of us don’t know is that Riley is a consummate professional and very much cares about his reputation and doing business the right way. States that Riley wants to finish the season and have zero distractions and let the players/team accomplish their goals.

I don’t believe so, the media is lazy and no one will break a story like this nationally before the season is complete. Discretion is always key and I can assure you, you won’t see it be a distraction until the end of OU’s season. I can confidently say that this won’t be a Mack Brown holding Texas hostage type of situation.

It won’t ruin what is already done. OU is entering the SEC. They do not want to be viewed negatively by being vindictive and want to maintain the OU brand entering the conference. Castiglione is really rolling the dice big time by taking the new SEC member as a steroid shot to the OU brand/selling point.
