2 guys that wont coach again and 3 that aren't leaving their current schools. Solid list.

My short list:

- Kiffin
- Heupel
- Dillingham
- Matt Patricia (if we went coordinator route)

Obviously, I would love Saban, but I can no longer get my hopes up. I do not want Drink or Sumrall at all. If we can't get Kiffin realistically, I would want a young, hungry coach, but who is young enough and good enough to fit that bill? IDK

Kelvin Sheppard is young and hungry enough

Yeah, I like him, I just don't know.

He hasn't even been a coordinator for a full year.

I just don't see the experience being there yet.

I do not doubt that he would get the team fired up and work his butt off. I just would rather an X's and O's coach personally.

No offense, but you don’t have any information on this deal. You keep saying it’s Kiffin or Saban but you have no substance to back up your claims. Please provide a little insight as to why you think it is Kiffin or Saban.

Ok...... not to be a jackass, but OP you stated this was your list of REALISTIC coaches, and the you go on to say "w/limited knowledge, this is who I would like to be HC."

WELL news flash, just because that's who you'd like, doesn't make that a realistic list. As a matter of fact only 3 on that list are obtainable w/all 3 being extremely long shots. The other two are fantasies.

Lashlee just signed an extension. I would like to see dilly have another season or two before we would get him. Was it luck or was it good coaching and talent development last year. Heupel I’m worried would leave for Oklahoma when it’s open. Sumrall not happening. Brohm aint leaving. He had plenty of opportunities to leave pursue and stayed a long time. Brady is not happening he doesn’t want to recruit and wants an nfl head job. Freeman, same thing as dilly. Want to see another year or two as a head coach.

Andy, you’re mistaken. Lee knows people.

Yall are delusional if you think Urban wouldn’t consider coming out of retirement.
I’ll admit Saban is a little more far fetched, but Urban is attainable.

I think if Brady made the really important trips only and had a roster manger/GM, he could do it. Just curious, why do you say “Sumrall ain’t happening” ?
