I was thinking y'all would probably move on too, tbh.

I think it's in y'alls best interest to get the new guy in and let him install some things.

The reason I think we'd wait is because there's really not much to change here, we could realistically roll into 2026 with this roster, but it would be pretty mid level. That said, I hope Kiffin gets here before the portal if it's indeed him, there are some pretty big holes that I'd like to see addressed.

What I like best about Kiffin is he knows the SEC. That's important. Coaches who haven't been in this grind have no clue how difficult it is.

Think we are well past the saving money stage

This. It baffles me the level of obsession people have with multi-millionaire (and even billionaire) TAF members money and their concern with overspending.

Even Saban adjusted to high scoring offense

Saban fired him before the n.c game too. He could have had another n.c but felt firing Kiffin/Joey freshwater was more important.

You pretty much started the same thread three times yesterday. We get it.

Kiffin is a younger more energetic CBK at this point. He's 12-25 in big games. He squandered a very expensive roster last year. I don't want to pay him what he's worth to come be mediocre here.

My take on Kiffin -
First - he would absolutely command not only a contract the likes of which we just had with Kelly, he would require one that exceeds that type of contract - maybe by a good bit.
Second - he has elevated that Ole Miss program in a big way. 4 years ago, he was on the list for both Florida and LSU - albeit a good way down the list. Neither school called him because they did not get that far down the list before they got "their guy". One of the reasons that he was farther down on the list was likely because he was thought of as a guy that if you made it that far down the list, he would take the job without a second thought. Fast forward to now, and he is going to have a decision to make - and that decision will not center on money, it will center on if he wants to stay at Ole Miss. That is because in that time period, he has elevated that Ole Miss program so much - to the point that it is being mentioned as on par with LSU and Florida - and that was unheard of only a couple of years ago.

Of course then there are the idiots with their “let’s just sign the next Nick Saban on the cheap.” Yeah right. Finding “the next Nick Saban” is a lot easier said than done.

And they aren't cheap. FL made Billy Napier one of the highest paid coaches in the SEC when he was the next Saban four years ago
