I watched the UK, Alabama, and UGA games. I wasn't impressed with the defense. What was impressive about them? Two years ago they were good

If he comes to USC he won't be given an official "head coach in waiting" title.
The NCAA changed the recruiting rules a few years ago that put the same limitations on the head coach in waiting as the head coach, which is why that fad has come and gone.
I'm sure he's being told that he'll have a great opportunity to become the head coach after Spurrier retires though

Offense and Special Teams gave up those points

The only reason UF was ever in any games during his entire tenure was the D. The offenses were so terrible. Turnovers, 3 n outs, etc.
I mean, the guy took Florida to a BCS Bowl with Jeff Driskel as his QB.
They should rename the COY award for him based on that alone

What a shock. A South Carolina board reporting that there's no way Muschamp goes to A&M or Auburn, 2 teams that put up 94 combined points on South Carolina.

Lol you watched the UGA game for the 1st qtr I guess. Against Bama, there were several blown coverages but the D forced a ton of turnovers. The O couldn't do shite. Against UK, a lot of busted coverages again. Throughout the season the safety play has gotten much better. The D was awesome under Muschamp while he was at uf.

I wish man. My connect won't know until an hour before it goes live. Same thing happened with Muschamp, found out an hour before it was announced. Foley keeps it so close to the vest.

The fact that you picked out one of the few guys reports that say he isn't interested in Auburn and ignoring all the reports that say there is mutual interest between Auburn and Muschamp shows that you are afraid.
No, it shows this was the latest I had read that I didn't see posted here.

What a shock. An A@M fan saying the report is not valid because it doesn't say he is definitely going to A@M, but then offers no report of his own.

A lot of busted coverages you say? Yes, we had that under Coach Ellis. Not sure why we want Muschamp's D who does the same thing.

Muschamp would be better than Johnson at this point I think, but his defenses do tend to play a bit reckless and seem to be out of position more so than some other really good defenses. However, they are tenacious and get after the ball. He also signs elite players that play in the NFL. Did it at Florida and at Texas.
He'd be a solid hire.

Heck we don't need a recruiter, we need someone to coach'em up and not be reckless (blown coverage and untimely penalties). If Ellis' didn't have Mincy at boundary corner, the defense would probably be much improved. Never seen anyone get beat off the line so often than that dude. Jones is tied for 6th in the country in INTs.

Disagreed. Our Secondary couldn't cover their own fart with a blanket.

FIFY
This guy is 2nd in SEC in INTs.

My grandma could have made half the interceptions he made, for what it's worth. That ball was massively under thrown.

Good thing that is not Mincy. Who's bama alter are you?
Posted on 12/1/14 at 3:56 pm to rbWarEagle
She has any eligibility left? Jones has been great all year. He was tested early because he was the new guy in the secondary (replacing Davis) and Mincy was the veteran. After a few picks, teams stopped going after Jones and started throwing on Mincy with much success. Even in the Iron Bowl, Sims didn't have much success throwing on Jones except for the fade to Cooper early for a TD. It was more outstanding route running by Cooper than bad coverage. Sims got his confidence back when they moved Cooper to Mincy side. Can't rush the passer if your DB (Mincy) is beat on the snap of the ball. He was even getting beat last week against Samford

I didn't say it was Mincy. It's obviously Jonathan Jones.
