I choose not to assume either is better with X and Os. I absolutely know for a fact that Munoz is not good enough to be promoted to an on-field position at LSU as of today.

Pretty weak to try to lord over people for having an opinion on something while staying out of having an opinion either way on the same thing.

It’s possible to not freak out while also being weary of a hire and not think O is fool proof when it comes to decisions.

I choose not to offer an opinion on something that I have no facts about. What makes you think Munoz is better with X and Os than CJ?

I’m all for it, but one would assume Brady is saving a spot in Carolina for his boy.

Comments made about his contribution to last years offense and QB development vs a long history we have to look at with CJ. He’s never been that kind of a coach.

Munoz also has a successful body of work as an actual OC at ULL.

CJ doesn’t have any success to point to. The only thing folks are saying is “he knows the saints playbook”.

Except we don't really even know if that's true.

The only contribution to the offense that he had from what I have read is breaking down film of what blitzes teams do on each down and giving it to the coaching and Joe. That doesn't take knowledge of X and Os.

I’m not gonna melt or anything after the season we just had, but I’m not crazy about it if we passed him over for Curtis Johnson. From an X’s and O’s Standpoint

I'm not picking on you specifically (this is a message board epidemic) but how the frick you know which one of these guys is better at X's and O's? Have you ever been in a room with either one of them? I'll answer for you.....Uhhh, no

Ones and NFL coach, the other is an analyst. that is all you know so stop acting like you have objective data

He was OC for one year, show proof that he was successful.

Burrow gave him a lot of credit for working with him in the offseason for his advancement in play and overall helping in this offense being successful.

It’s not the craziest thought to want to try to recreate that vs bringing in guy who has never been known for putting together an offense

ETA and it appears CJ isn’t happened so y’all can stop freaking the frick out

Are you assuming that it was X and Os help?

Joe never said anything specific about how he helped or what area. He did say how Tom House helped with his mechanics

quote:

While we’re game-planning on Monday and Tuesday and setting up our first- and second-down game plan, Jorge is kind of setting up our blitz package on first and second down that we can send to Joe (Burrow),” Ensminger told The Advocate last month. “On Tuesday, he’ll put together our third-down blitz package to present to Joe. The stuff he stays ahead of for me and Brady is outstanding.”

quote:

Added Burrow: "“He’s meant so much to me. He helps me get those third-down blitzes picked up every week. So many teams have super-exotic packages, and he narrows it down to one, two, three things that my eyes have to look at so I can get these blitzes picked up. That’s a big reason why we’re one of the top third-down teams in the country.”

I commented on that in a post earlier. Cutting up video of blitzes doesn't show a high knowledge of X and Os. He could be awesome at X and Os, but nothing you have said proves that.

He really wasn’t allowed to be a true OC. Hud was the ultimate micro manager.

my question is are we gonna have a PGC to help E?

instead of looking at Munoz id look at DJ Mangus.... that was Bradys Boy... Curtis As WR Coach and Recruitter and MAngus as the X's and O's guy with a low 6 figure analyst salary to show he can do it and then make him PGC next season..

Clear to me that Munoz was not offered the promotion he was looking for. If LSU really wanted to promote and try to keep him then he wouldn't be moving to Baylor.
