We were happy when Les left even though from the outside looking in he had a tremendous record 95% of college football was envious of. However, when you EXPECT championships just being better than 95% of CFB isn't enough.
ND probably has the most nationally recognized brand in the history of the sport (though that is waning every year). They expect championships and Kelly just hasn't brought one. So, they (like us when Les was fired) are optimistic a "new toy" can bring them what they want.
