Crap. I was looking forward to State taking a step back and then they went and upgraded.

Somewhat unusual fit but he is a great coach and inherits a pretty good situation. Good hire.

Solid hire. I'd be a little worried he has no head coaching experience but State doesn't expect championships every year so he has time to learn on the job.

I have no idea, but he may not have to be a gangbuster recruiter with a prolific offense.

Really good hire. Darn, I was really hoping Moo St would sink back to mediocrity once Mullen left.

Great job by Cohen to get after it!! The man bleeds maroon and white. He was a hec of a baseball player for the dogs and now he's gangbusters as an AD!!!

State did excellent work.

They identified their target, quietly went about contacting him and got the job done. Very impressive from Miss State on this hire.

don't keep up with a lot going on outside the SEC. Had to google this dude. Seems ok. Congrats?

This explains why most of this site still thinks the SEC is some great conference

Yeah, know it was Fordham, but he inheirited a 1-10, went 6-5 his first year, and then took them to the FCS Playoffs three years in a row. Also rumors swirling that he might bring Michigan's DC Don Brown with him. That seems to make no sense, but the connection in UConn, and they both are Northeasterners. Brown's D at Michigan the last two years have been #1 and #3 nationally. This is already a good hire, if he could get Brown it'd be huge.
