Word coming from people connected to the UM program (proven connections, not Herbie style) say that pressure is through the roof on the AD from alums and boosters to offer Miles the job.
Yep. And it won't surprise me if they do. We'll see, but I don't see him taking it now.

Rumor out of Texas is Michigan will soon offer Jim Tressel--have you heard this?

It's a done deal...Miles is staying at LSU. GoodforLSU> Michigan is in panick mode now that Greg Schiano told them to take a hike.

if michigan hadn't screwed the pooch so bad in the whole process, starting with carr's "retirement", i think he would have gone and i wouldn't have begrudged him. if i was coaching at texas or osu or michigan and got a chance to coach at lsu, i'd want to because of my ties there. but they put miles in a corner that he couldn't back out of - especially in light of the very-fresh-on-folks-minds with saban.
bottom line - he'll end up coaching there, just not this time.

Okay, Michigan fans are pieces of shite.
When there looks like he is coming, they are as a generally content and think he is the best fit compared to all other alternatives.
And yet, their reaction in the post SEC interview was that Miles despite all claims was NOT a Michigan man but instead was a money grubbing a-hole of whom Bo would be ashamed of.
All this in spite of the obviously heartfelt speech. They even attempt to fabricate reasons why LSU fans DON'T want him because he is so obviously a Michigan man.

This shite is obsecene. The guy signs a contract and people still try to say he might leave. I think people should find something new to talk about.

I don't know what you're talking about.

Les Miles is busy creating his own dynasty. Thanks for trying.

I supposed I missed where I was speaking to someone who I haven't seen before. I made clear I was speaking generalizations.
I simply spoke my views upon reading a thread involving Mile's SEC post press conference that had a lot of bashing, and no one really stepped in and said anything about it.
If you really find my opinions offensive, why don't you go off and attack the cause of them rather than telling me to "eat chit."
Understand that I am reading a thread about Miles where the posters, which include the admin, jokingly talk about how if Bo was still alive, he would be so ashamed of Miles that he would kill him. And I don't mean kill in the figerative sense. Compound this statement with the well-publicized fact that him and Bo were extremely close, and you perhaps can begin to understand where I am coming from.

No
If Bo was alive this Circus wouldnt be happening....Miles would be our next coach.
Not trying to single you out....but really getting sick of all the negative stuff flying towards Michigan/fans while I have done my best to bring this brd information I find.

If you think UM fans are flaming now...just wait till UF runs them out of their bowl game!!!
1. I think Miles is a man of his word. No way he double crosses LSU.
2. On the assumption Les = Saban. The media will ruin his life! Not that they care about LSU...just on general principles.

If Hart/Henne are healthy, I see no reason we get "blown out". Lose...perhaps...but one of the 2 have been basically hurt since the first game. Hart sat out part of the App st game, and Henne got hurt the next vs Oregon.
I have no doubts UF will put pts up, what I dont see is a healthy Mich Offense being shut down. Specially with MM and AA needing good games if they head for draft.

You remember how tough Oregon was? Florida does the same thing, only better.
Posted on 12/7/07 at 7:24 pm to Colonel Hapablap
Aye but D has gotten better...like I said...I know UF will put up pts.
The things folks are giving credit to though is that when health, Michigan can put up pts also.
The spread (10 pts) may be right....but those calling 30, 40, 50 pts I think are WAY off base.
