On the Sports Tap....but that'd we'd have to wait until Jacksonville's season is over.

Does anyone think that dude would have any credible sources?

He also said that regardless of what our coaches say Flynn is not playing and that he would take Tenn and the points. He may think that crap but he really should not be saying that on a regional show.

YEah Mike was on local espn radio today up here. As soon as he heard that RP was starting he switched to say Tenn would win. He just ripped RP.

No thanks. Jacksonville's seasaon may not end until mid-January. We need a coach before then.

Don't want a nother Saban to Miami situation where we get a coach so late. Also don't want to look like Bama last year with no coach for months, mulitple names mentioned for job only to be turned down by Del Rio in the end.

Nothing against JDR, it would just be too long a wait.

if option a fizzles out and by some miracle JDR says he wants the job. you wait on JDR. you don't hire a coach you half like just to save a mediocre recruiting class

That is just WRONG. Say we have distractions and leave it at that. Don't blast our team and make comments like "take Tenn and the points". That's not cool for someone who charges LSU FANS to view his site.

I agree with the theory. But I don't want to wait on JDR if it's "a good shot". If he said in December he would take the job after the NFL season and it's guaranteed he's coming then yeah. But how likely is that? An NFL coach on his way to the playoffs doesn't say he'll take a college gig in the middle of the playoff run, unless his name is Jim Mora Jr.

I heard that Bobby Hebert said on the radio (WWL) last night that he knows delrio and can confirm that he's interested in the job.

Bobby always picks the other team. It's his new thing.

You don't wait unitl his season is over. You offer now and let him accept(and finish out his season), or decline (and move on).

ND didn't wait for Weiss. A$M didn't wait for Sherman.

I think this is just Mike's stock answer really. He's said JDR in all the interviews lately. I hope he's right though.

That's when? Mid January? I do not want to wait that long and I am not sold on this guy either. Saban and Spurrier have won NC's. Tuberville should have played for one. del Rio's success in the NFL isn't making me wish for him. We can do better than this. I want a guy who's a proven winning HC in college. That's just me. We could certainly end up with him or the like.

I trust everything out of his mouth regarding high school recruits. he spends so much time on that end of it that I wonder what he really knows about this end? Time will tell. If we do get del Rio (which I don't think we will), I will give him 4x the credit that I already give him.

Sexy, but I still say it's a risk.

What would you do, Rock, if Skip remained Skip and he introduced D. Dooley on Sunday as our new HC?
