Why would he leave? That makes no sense. If TT goes all the way, then he may finally get the talent to TT that they have always wanted.

He's already pulling in all the WR & QB Talent he'll ever need.
And no I don't think he leaves. Lubbock is perfect for him. There is absolutely no pressure on him there and he was already thought of as the savior before the win over Texas.

Texas seems to produce a ton of good QB's. Don't know if he'd want to go out of state.

im one of the few that believes texas tech has the potential to become a mega dynasty
if they could somehow win this whole thing this year and use their name to attract talent, they could focus all of their recruiting efforts on defense.
if they had an sec defense, oh my, look out
the only place leach would go to is the nfl. could you imagine that offense in the nfl? yikes

Why wouldn't it? I remember people saying the same shite about Meyer's spread and how it would never work in the SEC.
If you're a good enough coach, you can scheme around what defense is thrown at you if you have the talent to do it with.
Same goes for Malzahn. People said the same things about him. Whichever BCS school ends up with him, he's going to do some ridiculous things with that talent.

He finally added a sufficient ground attack to compliment his passing preferences, and look what it has done. That offense has turned into a juggernaut. I posted the height and weight of all the linemen over 300 lbs the other night in the game thread. It's fricking crazy how big those guys are. Two guys are 345-355 and 6'7", give or take. As big as they are, they sure can move. Probably the most impressive offensive line I've seen this season. I was at the KU/TT game, and it was just crazy how good they look in person.

He already recruits the offensive players he needs.
His new Defensive Coordinator this year has helped with their defense and they have gotten a few players for the defense. Tech would never become a powerhouse but they could do OK off the recruits that UT, aTm, and Oklahoma doesn't take.
The facilities at Tech aren't bad.

It would be pretty wild. The SEC East would eventually turn into what the Big XII South has become.
I said it a couple of weeks ago. We may very well be nearing the end of the dominant defenses era in CFB. Offensive strategies have become more sophisticated, and with innovators like Leach and Meyer, DC's are going to have to devise new strategies to defend spread offenses. It may be awhile.
