LSU fans would be pissed after a couple of games. The interviews are great though. He's an awesome dude but very erratic as a HC.

i tried to get him to LSU years ago when Miles was coaching and he was in exile leaving in the Florida keys. He didn’t say hell no, it was more like that’s an interesting offer

I don't think Leach is a fit at any big power 5 football program. But, he's a helluva coach.

I used to always look at Mike Leach and think man just hire him and a top DC and you're unbeatable. But the problem is no elite DC will work with him. Too many 3-and-outs and even if they are 3-play scoring drives they don't want their defense back out there that quick. Those type of guys don't even want to coach in practice.

I love the guy — he reminds me of my late father-in-law. But he’s best suited at a second-tier school.
