I haven't studied Fleck's record, but he seems like a shameless hype man. The only guy I have seen with a schtick like his that has succeeded is Dabo. To a lesser extent, Muschamp was like this with his over the top behavior that fans ate up everywhere until things went bad in Florida.

However, I think I'll pass on Maryland's controversial "Jerkin for Durkin" tour.

I'm not waiting for the tour.

In my opinion, Maryland is one of the most underrated jobs out there. The should've pushed hard to get Mark Richt. This just goes to show that do not want to spend a lot of money to get a top named coach. I wonder if Richt was really interested in coaching there?

Durkin is a great coach, but he is unproven for a P5 job right now as a HC.

Word is Vic Fangio from the Bears is Harbaugh's main target for DC. Personally, I don't see him leaving the pros but never know.

This will hurt recruiting

This hurts recruiting for 2017, I don't expect it to make much of a difference for 2016 though

A lot of P5 teams taking chances on guys with no HC experience.

it happens in cycles. guys leave the HC fraternity (like Spurrier) some guy gets his shot. while it's true there is much recycling of HC's, the co-ordinators get there shot sometimes and some of them work out.

At this point the Muschamp coaching tree is better than Muschamp himself.
