Michigan fans are losing it over this. The majority want Martin fired on the spot.
When Miles needed an answer, where was U-M's athletic director?

Sorry, I see this was already posted on the Rant. I had looked for it on the coaching changes board and didn't see it. Oh well, if you haven't read these yet, they are a pretty interesting read.

that's gotta suck for Miles if he didn't get the job because some jackass decided to take a spin on his sailboat. You would think an AD for a major university in the middle of a coaching search would have a cellphone that would work no matter what.

Even though it would have cost us Miles, I feel sorry for you if this is the truth.
Having a top decision-maker go missing at a time when he should have known better should be grounds for immediate termination if it, indeed, cost them Miles.

that story has got to be BS. he didn't get the job because Carr wants Ferentz and their is too much politics going on.

I agree. Just an outsiders perspective Michigan looks really backwards in this whole thing. Very arrogant and petty from the top. Lloyd seems like a winey jealous prick.

May be BS but some dude wrote a letter to the Michigan president and attached a story told to him by an ex Michigan player. Skip down to the " (Begin forwarded story)" part.

Don't blame Les on this one. He wanted to be the head coach here but it seems other people had other agendas. A lot of former players are really upset about the way this was handled, including myself.

It's about 90% true...
He WAS out on a yacht, sucking up to big-money donors in Florida, during the middle of all of this.
However, he DID have phone service and was able to get his messages from there. He just chose not to return the call.
Anyone else wondering if the Florida fans will start singing "Come Sail Away" during the Citrus Bowl?
