USA Today

quote:

How does anyone take the sanctity of the College Football Playoff seriously when it means so little to Kelly that he high-tails it out of town before he even knows whether his team gets in?

quote:

In other words, Kelly bailed on one of six teams that still had a chance to win the national title. That’s not just the action of a broken man, that’s the product of a broken sport

quote:

By making this move now, Kelly should be a pariah in his profession, never thought of the same way again. He doesn’t care at all about those players, and whatever respect he had earned for his stewardship of the Notre Dame program over the last dozen years has been flushed down the toilet. He should forever be known as little more than a snake and a mercenary

Good job LSU, when the media melts harder than an ice cream in June you know you’ve done well

USA Today is almost as much of a rag as the New York Times. Every journalist nowadays is a sanctimonious hypocrite who leads a far worse life than those of the people they disparage on a daily basis. frick them. Let’s bitch at them for printing papers and contributing to climate change.

That is written by Dan Wolken. You should read some of the incredibly negative things that he has said about LSU and you would dislike him as much as I do

This is the 3rd time he's done this. Did it when he left CMU and again when he left Cincinnati. Not sure why they are surprised.
He leaves before the bowl game bc who cares if it's not the natty.

To be fair last Saturday eliminated Oklahoma from any chance at the playoffs this year. Isn't ND number 6?

Still all in all I'm happy the media is melting.

And in about 3 days....zero craps will be given by all! Today's players relate to a guy whose "getting his" and doesn't care what people think. Not saying I like that but it won't leave a mark. Recruits will also be easily sold on the fact that this dude left a safe, revered job, to come for one reason...a crystal ball! People that say it's about money...Brian Kelly has about 3 generations of Kelly's covered already. The money is great but he ain't exactly waiting on Social Security to kick in. Winning-the great equalizer!

Wait... did he state with absolute certainty at home he wasn't leaving and then travel and announce he was leaving? No- that was Saban.

At least BK was travelling home to announce. Saban went to FL before admitting it.

Kelly just slapped royalty in the face. Hope he’s ready to get massacred by the media.

I love it.
