Once Mike Groh or Burton Burns replaces him, no one will be able to tell the difference...

your offense will still be run first, pass into the flats off a crossing route on 2nd, throw a screen on 3rd down.

recipe for success. screen game is brutal.

Exactly. For the first 70-80 yards of the field, McElwain is a really good playcaller. Then we get into scoring position and immediately go away from what got us there.

Thought he would get something better than that but please let this be true as our offensive play calling is very questionable and stagnate at times.

@SPORTSbyBROOKS SPORTSbyBROOKS McElwain's Memphis interview killed & he's made it known he wants the job. Fresno not in play. A "terms sheet" being drawn up.

who? ~36ppg over the last 2 years.. with 2 different QBs. who can top that?

There are a ton of offenses out there in CFB that average the same or more. OC's at lesser schools that would love to get their hands on a top tier program. Just like McElwain.

2 different QB argument I don't get, every coordinator works with 2 and 3 deeps. It phases in and out, you don't just start fresh.

how many of them fit nick sabans philosphy? how many of them can hold up in the SEC? how many of them do not require a change in the types of players you have been recruiting?

choices are limited really. i guess you could bring in an air raid guy, but that just doesn't fit what nick saban has done in the past.

If Mike Groh does get the OC job, and I think he will(I mentioned Burns because has a few years on Groh), it makes the rumor that Cris Carter will be the WR coach in 2012 sound more plausible...

Brooks also reported OSU to the title game when everybody else said it was Alabama. Why the frick would he go to Memphis when Fresno is open?

Linking SbB is a sure way to get banned.
Quoting just gets you deserved ridicule.

Nick Saban does not have a certain philosophy on offense. Saban has said many times he wants to utilize the playmakers, big plays, and points.

Whatever OC he thinks can do the job the best is who he chooses.

It's really easy even for a fan to know the difference between a gimmick and a truly strong offense.

I'm sure we aren't talking about Alabama going Gus Malzahn here. Not that extreme.

I would like to get the guy from Okie Lite. But there might just be way to many things in the way of that.

Recruiting would be a whole lot better in Memphis.
