Just get him to sign before that Miami job becomes open. Le Batard and his crew seem pretty confident he's going to Miami, and they're pretty good friends with Kiffin.

That’s the plan. Deion smith is going to be catching bombs from Dillion Gabriel next year

About ten jobs can spend more than 8 million on a coach

Honestly I kind of agree with you. With the SEC becoming the premier super conference if your in it you will bring in the big time recruits. It would not surprise me if 8 of the top ten recruiting classes are in the SEC in the next few years.

That’s why this new TV deal is so freaking big. Especially with Texas and Oklahoma coming in the conference. Every team besides vandy can make a case of being a top 20 job if they put forth the money and invest into their program.

Ole miss is doing 400 million dollars in upgrades on football facilities and dishing out about 17 million for salaries and such.

Kiffin currently waiting to see if Miami fricks up the Cristobal recruitment (they will). Wouldn’t be surprised if Miami becomes the next stepping stone for Kiffin rehabbing his career

I could see him staying there for a long time.

Can OM match the huge bucks that some of these schools are offering these coaches of this year? That's the telling point imo.

they have 5 built in wins, they could easily win 3 of these 5 : UK, Auburn, State at home, Ark, A&M on the road however, its still OM 7-5 is not a fire the coach season there so not quite the insult you seem to think it is

Let’s look at it then

At USC as assistant coach from 2001-2006

Got offered at the Oakland raider head coaching job

There 2007-2008. Fired. Didn’t leave

Got hired at Tennessee for one season.

Took his dream job at USC 2010-2013. Fired. Fired didn’t leave

Took the Alabama OC job. 2014-2016.

Took a promotion to a head coaching job at FAU. 2017-2019.

Took a promotion for ole miss 2019-present.

So the only job he has really left is Tennessee.

Exactly. If he stays in Oxford until Saban retires, he might have to turn down that job. Maybe by then he has built something at Ole Miss he doesn't want to leave, maybe not. But, for those who say Coach Saban wouldn't let it happen, Saban is the guy who brought Kiffin to Tuscaloosa to begin with.

8.76 a year. Mississippi has a dumbass rule you can only have state employees to 4 year contract. So, it would be 4 year 35 million dollar contract

But they can extend it every year, right?

Yea they can do a rollover clause I guess. It would be easier to get out of though I imagine. Usually coaches are extended every year in Mississippi to hit that four year max.
