His firing is a joke, things are out of control. We are paying coaches to much and expectations are nuts.

No - what’s nuts if that we’ve added 21M dollar buyouts that if you get fired you’re owed. Wtf is that? Arkansas did the same thing. We need to change the way contracts are handled across the board.

He got fired because he was paid top 5 money and he got top 30 results.

1. Zero for Baton Rouge, Athens, and Tuscaloosa. Big time coaches win on the road sometimes. He’s 0-12.

2. Blown out by Alabama, Georgia, and LSU more than once. Losing is one thing, not competing is another.

Coaches salaries and expectations for those highly paid coaches are very high, but I don't think you will see many coaches willing to drop down to 1970s pay in exchange for 1970s expectations, nor will you see any big programs lower expectations to save money on salaries. Not with the huge amounts of money to be made by universities by having a top team or for coaches by getting a program there.

It is what it is. Auburn gets their new coach and Malzahn gets set for life.
