PROOF????????????

The burden of proof is on you to somehow prove that agreed to an extension doesn't mean a signed agreement. What do you think the UA athletic department just does a double secret handshake with Saban in the alley behind 7-11 and then report it?

Now that this chapter is over, can we all agree to limit the use of the words "melt" and "butthurt?"

I'd bet that if the story hadn't been leaked at the beginning of the week, this situation would have played out a lot different.

But if genro was banned before the contract was officially signed does cpt still have to hold up his end?

My new theory is that TX is pushing the Saban rumors until the recruiting quiet period to try to hold their class together. That way when Mack resigns or is let go, there isn't any time for other teams to try to poach the Texas recruits during the absence of a head coach. It buys them time to hire the new (not as glamorous of a name) coach. He is brought during the quiet period and can talk to the recruits; and there is no time where other head coaches would have been able to play the "Texas has no coach, he might not fit your style" card. Just a theory, I have no inside sources. Saban could also be waiting to resign his deal for over the weekend when all the big recruits are there for the official visit thinking that all the fanfare around it could be impressive to them. It would also show them his credibility while they are there. Just a thought. Like I said, no sources.

So what are the chances that this is exactly what happened? It at least lines up with my theory that Saban was waiting to sign a new deal with Bama until all the big recruits(inlcuding Fournette) are on campus.

If only we had an all-knowing poster named TheLawyer to determine such matters.
