SIAP... here is "another inside source" claim on shaggybevo

There isn't much talk from Alabama, outside of recruits, because our boosters can keep their trap shut. It's the only reason we landed Saban to begin with.

Or they just don't have anything positive to say

That's actually a very compelling point. He'll get 3-4 years of latitude at Texas.

No it isn't. Everyone knew Saban was negotiating with Alabama behind the Dolphins back as soon as it happened, that is why Saban had to publicly deny the rumor at a press conference and lie to H. Wayne Huizenga about it.

It's totally legit brah. $7mil a year salary. $5mil a year under the table from boosters.

So does that mean he turned down the 10 and 10.6 mil a year figures floated around already?

Texas upping the ante?

This was all funny and entertaining a few days ago. Now it's getting irritating. Just say one way or another if he's staying or not. It's obvious he's being courted, but this is just dumb now with every single person in the internet having a source.

No, the REAL Bama Insiders really are very terse about posting.

Rodney Orr has been consistent in saying that his info is that Saban is staying put but he never, ever posts novels.

His posts have literally been "Coach Saban is staying at Alabama".

Now, the "message board insiders" are probably posting all kinds of crap from their "sources" but those posts aren't worth the time it takes to copy and paste, so why bring them over?

ESPN has been mocking those reports for days "Texas to offer the lone star on the flag to get Nick Saban"

What part do you need help with?

Reasons it is looking good for Bama:
-CJ Mosely leaving for the NFL
-Nick Saban staying at Alabama
-Him wanting to stay close and in the South (his top two is Bama and Ohio State)

Because I always trust a person that speaks with "Bleedat". That's always a sign of trustworthiness and integrity.

Actually, I think Mack picked a great quote for his situation. Impressive.

Only our own Les Miles could have done better. Something like,"I did enjoy the things that I was doing because I was doing some things differently."

Saban would say, "There are things that we need to do long-term to make our team better."

If Texas really wants Saban bad enough they will throw the sink at him, but at some point pride will become a factor

Very few people are like Saban, relatively speaking. But I think I recognize in him something that I recognize in myself.

His success is motivated by an intense fear of failure. I think this affects a lot of people to some extent, but for Saban the fear is much greater than most.

That's why he works as hard as he does IMO, because being perceived as a failure is the worst thing in the world to him. Look at the Iron Bowl post game conference. Most coaches would say "it was my fault" but he never did. He pointed the finger everywhere else before saying "it's my responsiblity," not the same as admitting fault for what happened.

That's why I think he enjoys the "building up" of teams more than the maintaining. He has basically no risk of failure building Texas up given their resources. But every year he doesn't win a championship at Alabama is a failure at this point to him. And their fans do nothing but reinforce that mindset.

But he is not the type of guy that rests on his accomplishments. They mean nothing to him. I know that's hard for a lot of people to grasp but for him, he really asks himself "What have I accomplished lately?"
