Interesting. Maybe he'll be on the flexjet flight to T-town tonight?

My new theory is that TX is pushing the Saban rumors until the recruiting quiet period to try to hold their class together. That way when Mack resigns or is let go, there isn't any time for other teams to try to poach the Texas recruits during the absence of a head coach. It buys them time to hire the new (not as glamorous of a name) coach. He is brought during the quiet period and can talk to the recruits; and there is no time where other head coaches would have been able to play the "Texas has no coach, he might not fit your style" card. Just a theory, I have no inside sources. Saban could also be waiting to resign his deal for over the weekend when all the big recruits are there for the official visit thinking that all the fanfare around it could be impressive to them. It would also show them his credibility while they are there. Just a thought. Like I said, no sources.

Well, that is of course the final destination. Just haven't found the flight yet.

That's... actually pretty plausible.

That's solid. I can get behind that. Does the dead period work both ways? What happens if one of these blue chip recruits calls/texts Saban after midnight Sunday?

I am sure he is on N1UA and won't know where he is going. AJ unita's award thing is n Baltimore tomorrow, not sure if he is going to that but it's on the way to NY.

Saban could be leaving. Very possible. But does anyone think Texas athletic department is leaking false information on purpose?

Some Horn poster said they are famous for manipulating message board rumors on Texas sites.

It's entirely possible. As mentioned, maybe to hold the recruiting class together until the dead period.

How are you sure? Do you know someone who said he's on that plane? Sometimes coaches do fly other airplanes you know. I do agree that he has been on N1UA for most of the day.

I don't know what to believe at this point. Even the people "with sources" are changing their tune, specifically with regards to the Mack resignation. Even if Mack is resisting, it still doesn't quite add up.

This is sorta what I've been thinking too. It works for both UT & UA to help prevent other teams from poaching their recruits.

The Dream is Over. There is still no University of Mars. Saban retires at Bama, like I've said all along. Roll Tide. Fournette to Bama.

I think these Texas guys are hearing stuff. They aren't just making up bull shite, but something is not matching up.

I have no clue what to think. I still stand by him staying, but it's been a giant cluster frick.

Well this latest rumor of Mack pushing it til next week was a misunderstanding. Someone said on the radio that he "may try to push it til next week" which is what has been said all along cause of mack's history of being butthurt about leaving... that got twisted into macks being a pussy arse bitch and not letting go until next week...
